Every custom piece starts somewhere different. You might have a clear idea, a reference, an existing stone or simply the beginning of a thought. We’ll help shape the direction with you, refining the design, materials and details into something entirely your own.

How it works
Private consultation
We begin with a one-to-one appointment to understand the piece in context, including how it will be worn, what needs to be preserved and where there is room to explore. We’ll offer personalised guidance grounded in technical knowledge, care and a clear sense of what is possible.
How it works
Stone sourcing
Our experienced gemmologists source stones specifically for your piece, considering quality, proportion, character and suitability for the design. Each stone is carefully selected through our trusted supply network, with close attention to certification, origin and responsible sourcing.

Do I need an appointment to start a custom design?
Yes. Our studio is appointment-only, giving us time to understand your ideas and guide you through the possibilities without feeling rushed. We offer private appointments in Surry Hills and virtual consultations for clients further afield.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Nothing in particular. Inspiration images, a few notes on what you like, a budget or a special date can be useful, but it’s just as fine to arrive with an open mind. We’ll take you through it together.
What happens during an appointment?
We’ll talk through what you’re looking for, explore designs and proportions, and discuss suitable metals, diamonds or gemstones. We can also consider budget and timing. It’s a relaxed conversation, with no expectation that you’ll make a decision on the day.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
Yes. We regularly work with people interstate and overseas. We can talk through design options by video, share images and measurements, and guide you through the same process remotely.
How does your custom design process work?
We begin with a conversation about your ideas, preferences and budget. From there, we explore design directions, source suitable stones where needed and work through the finer details together. For more involved commissions, this may include CAD drawings or a three-dimensional model. Once you're happy with the design and all the details are confirmed, we can begin making your piece.
Can I bring inspiration images from another jeweller?
References are a helpful way to understand what you’re drawn to, whether that’s a setting, silhouette or detail. We don’t directly replicate another maker’s design, but we can use the elements you love as a starting point for something personal to you.
Can I use a diamond or gemstone I already own?
We can assess diamonds and gemstones from inherited or existing jewellery for a remodel. Their suitability depends on condition, measurements and the proposed setting. For new commissions, we generally source the stones ourselves rather than setting externally purchased stones.
Will I see the design before it is made?
For commissions requiring design development, we’ll share the appropriate drawings, CAD renders or models before production and allow time to review the details together. The level of design work depends on the piece.
